Dream: It's the love of the father
Tonight I had once again a special experience. Yes, you could call it a dream. I try to describe it though it is not really easy. Why isn't there a gateway to your brain and you could just simple download your dream to your blog? (Okay, perhaps it's really better that this is not possible)
It all began that I was dreaming about reading a book of Geri Keller about the Father's love. It was a small paperback illustrated with copper engravings (there is the
Prophetic Bulletin that is published by Geri's community called Stiftung Schleife that often ist illustrated with those copper engravings). Somehow two things became important to me reading this book. But I have forgotten them. But I stuck to a picture. I looked at this illustration for a while until I suddenly realized what I saw. At first it looked like one of the many versions of the women taking Jesus from the cross after his death mourning and weeping... A simple altarpiece in the sanctuary of a church.
But suddenly I realized that the picture was completely unusual! It was the father who was holding the oppressed corpse of his son on his arms ejecting a shrill but also choked scream: "MY SON IS DEAD! MY SON IS DEAD! What have they done to him? MY SON IS DEAD!MY SON IS DEAD!" And he weeped bitterly over him...
All of a sudden he turned to me (or to you) and said:
"Whenever you will have doubts... FOR YOU! Whenever you cannot believe tha I really love you... FOR YOU! Whenever you will despair how long you will have to bear it... FOR YOU! Whenever you might think you will never manage it... FOR YOU! Whenever you might think that your guilt is far too big... FOR YOU! Whenever your loneliness simple seems to devour you... FOR YOU! Whenever self-condemnation seems to shatter you... FOR YOU! Whenever the words IMPOSSIBLE and NOT FOR ME seems to bring you down... FOR YOU! ... FOR YOU! ... FOR YOU!"
And here you can put in every trouble and doubt you have concerning God. The cross and the death of Jesus were really tough things. Not only for Jesus but also for the father who gave his only begotten precious son to die for us so that we finally could come again to him...
"For God (the father) so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son so that everyone who believed in him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16
The father was standing on the steps of the altar holding his son into the nave of the church weeping bitterly under loud sobs over his miserably died son. The blood flowed down the white marmoreal steps of the altar and dropping into the cup of the last supper. As it would like to emphasise how important the Lord's Supper is, what power would be in one simple drop of His blood, in one drop of the Lord's Supper...
„When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, Lord Jesus, until you come in glory.“
